of whom are now in very senior positions. These organisations range

NatWest, Rothschild, and Standard Chartered Bank, technology and research
oriented organisations such as BT, Camelot, Hewlett-Packard, and Vodafone,
and security specialists such as Baltimore, Indicii Salus, Insight Consulting,
Logica, and RSA Inc. A list of MSc alumni is available.
MSc in Information Security
Since its inception in
1992, the MSc in Information Security (the first of its kind in Europe)
has increased rapidly in popularity, and is now widely recognised as
a stepping stone to a career as an information security expert.
MSc in Secure Electronic
Commerce
The MSc in Secure Electronic
Commerce took its first students in 1999. This advanced MSc degree is
designed to introduce the technical, legal and commercial aspects of
security for electronic commerce. Students of the degree come from a
variety of backgrounds, and part-time students are particularly encouraged.
The degree is intended as a foundation for a professional career as
well as for postgraduate research in Secure Electronic Commerce. Graduates
of the degree are expected to find employment in both industry and commerce
as experts in security for electronic commerce, and the need for such
experts is likely to be very high for the foreseeable future.
